aforesaid prices referred on the website may be amended at any time by the H.O.C.RE.D., in
accordance with the applicable procedure for determining the right to admission by the Hellenic
Ministry of Culture and Sports.
3.7 The fee shall be paid by one of the payment methods supported by the website and
indicated in the relevant fields and in accordance with the instructions indicated on the
transaction form. Payment is mainly made by debit or credit card of the specific type or types
disclosed on the website; for partner enterprises payment via web banking is also provided,
while other payment methods may also be provided, in accordance with the instructions and
conditions disclosed to the user by the H.O.C.RE.D. from time to time. Each user must use a
debit or credit card of which he is the legal holder and authorised user.
3.8 The debit or credit card holder's details are filled in and processed directly in the system of
the credit institution or payment service provider cooperating with the H.O.C.RE.D., which
carries out the card transaction, which applies internationally certified security protocols for the
security of transactions. H.O.C.RE.D. shall not keep user credit card data in its systems.
3.9 For security reasons, H.O.C.RE.D. is entitled to reject the user's order, not to proceed with
the issuance of tickets, as well as not to complete and/or cancel the transaction. In such a case,
H.O.C.RE.D. is entitled to request at any time, in the context of the provision and billing of
services, the submission by any user of the data it deems necessary (e.g. copy of identity card or
passport and/or credit or debit card, proof of address, etc.), in order to identify the details of the

services.
3.10 In case of automatic rejection of the booking for security reasons, the refund is made
immediately to the user. In case of cancellation of the transaction for security reasons, the
refund is made to the user according to the rules of international card schemes. It is expressly
pointed out that after entering the site for which the ticket has been issued, no refund will be
made for any reason whatsoever.
C. RECEIPT OF TICKETS
3.11 Upon completion of the transaction, users receive the regular full price tickets by e-mail in a
pdf file.
3.12 Provided that the presentation of identification is sufficient to prove the right to a reduced
admission fee or free admission, beneficiaries of reduced admission fee or free admission (see
here) receive the tickets by e-mail in a pdf file and must present their ticket and original
identification at the checkpoint upon entering the archaeological site or museum.
3.13 In the event that the ticket holder does not present the required documents of paragraph
3.13 or the documents presented do not prove the required status for reduced admission fee or
free admission, he/she will not be allowed to enter the site. In this case the holder will not be
entitled to a change of the ticket issued and not accepted or a refund of the fee paid for its issue.
3.14 In cases where the proof of the right to a reduced admission fee or free admission is not
sufficient by presenting the identification data but further supporting documents are required,
users receive by e-mail a proof of purchase with the purchase details of the ticket, which
includes a code corresponding to their transaction. In order to receive their tickets, they must
present the above proof of purchase in paper or electronic form at the ticket offices of the site
on the day of their visit, showing their original identification and the required supporting
documents.
3.15 In case the status, on the basis of which the beneficiary is entitled to free admission, can be
certified by documents that can be automatically searched by H.O.C.RE.D. through an official
national digital portal, upon completion of the transaction, the beneficiary receives from
H.O.C.RE.D. via e-mail a relevant bar code (qr code), the scanning of which is sufficient for entry
to the site.
3.16 For tickets issued by user-partners, if the order includes only regular full price tickets, as
well as reduced admission fee or free admission tickets, for the proof of which it is sufficient to
show the identification data in accordance with paragraph 3.13, these will be sent by e-mail in
pdf format.
D. CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENT POLICY
3.17 The present conditions of electronic ticketing relate to an activity that falls within the
exceptions of article 3IB of Law No. 2251/1994 (A’ 191) for consumer protection and the
relevant provisions of Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU.
3.18 Therefore, subject to paragraphs 3.20, 3.21 and 3.22, after the completion of the
transaction, it is not possible to change the ticket details, cancel or return the ticket, as well as
refund for any reason. Furthermore, the value of tickets that have been lost, stolen, or destroyed
is not covered.
3.19 If the site is closed for visitors on the day of arrival due to force majeure, the duration of the
validity of the ticket may be extended, upon notification of the user, or the ticket price may be
refunded. In the latter case, users accept that the H.O.C.RE.D., apart from the refund of the value
of the ticket paid, is not liable for compensation for any other cause or expense arising from the
cancellation of the visit.
3.20 Especially in the case of the summer and the winter seasons up to 01/04/2025, for tickets
(a) issued by users-partners for a visit to an Archaeological Site/Museum, within the timeframe
of that Archaeological Site’s or Museum’s hours of operation; and (b) not set within any zones or
made available to the public, it is permitted, once and only once, to have said tickets carried
over to the following year, and use up to and including 31/03/2026, provided that the value of
the fee has not been increased. In the event of an increase in the value of the ticket price, the
number of tickets in question, which are carried over per category to the next visit period and
exchanged for new ones, shall be reduced by a percentage corresponding to the percentage of
the increase by rounding down the number of tickets to the nearest whole number, where
applicable. In the event of a reduction in the value of the ticket price, the number of tickets
carried over per category to the next visit period remains the same and the user-partner accepts
that she/he is not entitled to a refund of any amount of money or any compensation for this
reason.
E. TERMS OF VISIT
3.21 The purchase of the ticket entitles the ticket holder to enter and tour the archaeological site
or museum on the day or during the period indicated on the ticket, provided that he/she accepts
and observes the operation rules of the site. The admission of the visitor to the site implies the
unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3.22 The ticket is presented at the site checkpoint, checked by scanning the special code and
cancelled according to the instructions of the security staff. In case of free admission or purchase
of a reduced admission fee ticket (student, elderly, unemployed, etc.), the holder must bring
with him/her, to be shown at the entrance of the site, identification and the required documents
proving the right to a free admission or a reduced admission fee ticket, otherwise he/she will not
be allowed to enter.
3.23 The ticket is valid for a single entry to each site for which it states that it is valid and is valid
only if it has been sold from an official point of sale of the H.O.C.RE.D. Anyone presenting a
forged ticket or a ticket that does not come from an official point of sale is subject to criminal
and civil penalties. The first person presenting the ticket is considered the legal holder, every
other person presenting a print of the same ticket will not be allowed entry
3.24 The exchange, resale and, in general, the trading of tickets is prohibited. If it is ascertained
that tickets are made available illegally, including their exchange, resale and, in general, their
trading and/or purchase, so that they be used in any and all ways and by any and all means the
subject of a business, commercial, and advertising activity or any other type of activity, said
tickets will be invalidated and H.O.C.RE.D. will proceed to striking the user-partner involved off
the electronic ticket sales system for a time period of two (2) years, following the relevant
justified decision taken by its Board of Directors. Should the stricken-off user-partner after
her/his reinstatement, engage again in such illegal activities, the time period of two (2) years
cited in the previous case will be doubled to four (4) years, according to the provisions of Article
14A, Law 4761/2020. It is noted that the type of tickets issued by H.O.C.RE.D., may vary
depending on the point of sale.
3.25 Those responsible for the operation of the site may prohibit entry to persons who are under
the influence of alcohol or drugs, carrying bottles or other dangerous or sharp or flammable
objects or objects that may serve as weapons, even if they are ticket holders. The ticket holder
accepts the possibility of having his/her personal belongings checked as part of the above
prohibitions.
3.26 Visitors must keep the ticket stub throughout the visit and show it to security staff when
requested. After leaving the site, the ticket expires and cannot be reused for entry.
3.27 The public must comply with the instructions of security staff and site managers.
F. ADJUSTED GROUP VISITS
3.28. Groups over five (5) members can purchase an adjusted group ticket for their visit to the
archaeological site of the Acropolis. The days and times of such groups’ visit are those foreseen
and issued by the regulatory authorities.
3.29 The adjusted group visit ticket is issued in the name of each group’s leader. It is valid for a
visit on the specific day and time zone selected and cannot be transferred to any previous or
subsequent time zone. Group ticket holders have the option to: (a) change the day and time
zone they have selected for admission to the Acropolis archaeological site, as long as there are
other time zones available; and (b) change the group members’ personal data no later than
fourteen (14) days prior to the visit date already scheduled.
4. FINAL PROVISIONS
4.1 The contract is of indefinite duration and governs the relationship between the parties until the completion of the visit and the resolution of all outstanding issues between H.O.C.RE.D. and the user.
